Chickpeas, or garbanzo beans, can be enjoyed in a variety of different ways, but this recipe is great to have around when you are craving a salty, crunchy snack! These little legumes are packed full of health benefits from helping with digestion due to their high fiber content, to lowering blood sugar, cholesterol, and your risk for cancer! They can be used to make dips like hummus, to make falafel or burgers, a meat replacement, or even desserts such as brownies or cookie dough. Ingredients

  • 1 15oz can of chickpeas
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. First, open the can of chickpeas and rinse them off in a strainer.
  2. Next, place them in a bowl and spray them with cooking spray until they are coated. Then add all the seasonings and give them a good stir.
  3. Place chickpeas in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
  4. Take the basket out and give them a shake. Then place back in the air fryer for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Let them cool completely and enjoy!

Notes

*Store chickpeas at room temperature with air flow. I suggest in a jar with the lid partially open, or with a paper towel tied around the top with a rubber band. Eat within a few days.
