Kale Chips
Kale is a superfood that has become increasingly more popular in the recent years. With it’s endless amounts of vitamins and minerals, cancer-fighting substances, and overall versatility, it’s no wonder people are incorporating kale more and more into their every day diet. While kale can be easily added into smoothies and salads, my favorite way to eat the superfood is by baking it into delicious, crunchy, kale chips. Let’s be honest, we all get those cravings for something salty and crunchy. Instead of reaching for a bag of potato chips, next time I suggest cooking up some of these. They won’t disappoint. With a recipe this quick and simple, what in the kale are you waiting for?!
What Ingredients Do I Need?
Kale
Olive oil spray
Salt
Kale Chips
Ingredients
- 4 cups kale (1 bunch)
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- First, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Take your bunch of kale and break off the leaves into 3 or 4 inch pieces, and place them side by side on a baking sheet (or multiple sheets). Do not pile them on top of each other.
- Next, lightly spray your kale leaves with olive oil cooking spray, and sprinkle with salt.
- Place in the oven for 12-15 minutes. Keep an eye on them while they are baking because they may burn easy. Once they start to brown slightly, and feel crispy to the touch, they are done.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- Bunches of kale will vary in size, so you may end up with less or more than 4 cups.
- You will more than likely need multiple baking sheets for this recipe.
