This vegetarian chili is simple, hearty, and delicious. It has just the right amount of spice for a chilly winter day!
Ingredients
- 2 cups Impossible Ground Beef
- 1 cup white onion
- 2 15oz cans tomato sauce
- 1 15oz can diced tomatoes
- 2 15oz cans chili beans
- 1 15 oz can black beans
- 2 tbsp diced jalapeno
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
Instructions
- First, dice the onion into half inch pieces.
- Next, heat a large pot on stove to medium high heat and add impossible beef, diced onion, and jalapeno. Cook for 10 minutes or until cooked through and the onions have browned around the edges.
- Add salt, garlic powder, cumin, and chili powder and mix together well.
- Next, add tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beans to the pot. Stir everything together well and turn heat down to simmer.
- Cook, covered, for 2-4 hours. Be sure to stir occasionally.
- Once you are ready to eat the chili, pour into a bowl, add desired toppings, and enjoy!
Notes
The longer the chili cooks, the better the taste will be. Leftovers will be a delight to eat for days after!
