Ingredients
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 8 oz. walnut pieces
- 1 cup sugar free maple syrup
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Next, mix the oats, walnuts, and cinnamon together in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix the egg whites with a hand mixer on high for 1 minute, until they become frothy.
- Pour egg whites into the bowl with the dry ingredients, along with the syrup and vanilla extract. Mix everything well.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the granola mixture evenly on the sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes, stir well, and then bake for an additional 30 minutes.
- Take baking sheet out of the oven and let it cool for 1 hour. This is important so that the granola hardens.
- Break into pieces and enjoy!
