Garlic Hummus

Hummus is a wonderful staple to include in any diet because it is delicious, endlessly customizable and packed with plenty of nutrients, including healthy fats, fiber and protein to keep you full! This recipe is for a basic garlic hummus, and is quick and easy to make! I have found that store-bought hummus never has the same consistency that homemade hummus has. So this recipe is a game changer! This pairs well with veggies or pita bread as a snack, or is the perfect addition to your favorite sandwiches, wraps, salads, or pastas!

What Ingredients Do I Need?

  • Chickpeas

  • Lemon juice

  • Tahini

  • Olive oil

  • Minced garlic

  • Salt

  • Cold water

My favorite way to store this hummus is in a mason jar in the refrigerator!

This creamy, savory hummus is the perfect dip for your favorite veggies, or a delicious addition to any sandwich or wrap!

Ingredients

  • 1 15oz can chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Start by adding all ingredients to a food processor, and blend on high for 1-2 minutes until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Enjoy this delicious hummus with your favorite veggies or crackers, or add to a sandwich or wrap!
