This deviled egg recipe is a simple, savory and addicting classic!

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 5 tbsp light mayo
  • 3 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • paprika
  • 5 cups water

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with about 5 cups of water and turn heat to high.
  2. Place eggs in the pot carefully using a large spoon.
  3. Once water reaches a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 12 minutes.
  4. Remove eggs from hot water and place in a bowl of ice water, stirring them around for 1 minute.
  5. Next, peel eggs by tapping them against a plate or hard surface to crack the shell. Begin peeling the egg from the bottom, since there is usually a little pocket of room between the egg and shell at the bottom. Then carefully peel the shells completely off, cut eggs in half (long way), and remove the yolk from the middle and place in a separate bowl.
  6. Once all eggs are peeled and yolks are in a bowl, add mayo, mustard, and salt to the bowl. Mix all of this together until evenly combined.
  7. Lastly, take a generous spoonful of the yolk mixture and add back into each egg half. Once all are full, sprinkle each with paprika and enjoy!
