Bruschetta Pizza

If you love a simple, but fresh spin on a classic, this Bruschetta Pizza recipe is a must try! This recipe transforms one of my favorite appetizers into a delicious meal! The sliced tomatoes, fresh chopped basil, and mozzarella all work together perfectly, but the added balsamic reduction is the real star of this show! I must warn you, this pizza can be messy - in the best way!

If you love a simple but fresh spin on a classic, this Bruschetta Pizza is a must try!

Ingredients

  • 1 batch of Low Carb Pizza Crust
  • 1/2 cup marinara
  • 1 roma tomato, cut in 6 or 7 thin slices
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 tbsp (approx. 4 large) basil leaves, sliced thin
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Make one batch of Low Carb Pizza Crust
  2. Once crust is out of the oven, take the marinara and spread it evenly across the crust.
  3. Next, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly around the pizza, then top it with the tomato and then the basil.
  4. Add the balsamic vinegar to a skillet over medium heat and bring to a boil for 2 minutes, then take off the heat. This should thicken it up a bit.
  5. Finally, broil pizza on high for 1 minute, or until cheese is melted. Then drizzle the balsamic reduction over the pizza, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

Any pizza crust can be used to make this pizza, but the nutrition facts will vary.
